Celebrate the contribution of our country’s older generation by hosting a screening during Seniors Week and Seniors Festivals with Film Outreach’s start-to-finish event kit. Many of the themes involved address inter-generational connections, issues facing older Australians, ultimately celebrating our elders.

Australia is a diverse land, over 45% of Australians were born overseas or have parents born overseas. It’s important to celebrate the many cultural backgrounds of all Australians, so Film Outreach has made it simple with our Harmony Week start-to-end screening kit to help communities across Australia celebrate their own multiculturalism.

Youth Week is an important opportunity for young people to express themselves and ideas while enjoying youth led activities and events. Celebrate your young people by bringing the Nextwave Youth Film Festival to your community to showcase this year’s best winning short films made by young Regional Australians for young Regional Australians.

Each year communities around Australia stand up and recognise our modern post-colonisation history, aiming to heal the wounds of the past and make amends for a better future together. To bring the stories of the past to light, each year Film Outreach creates a screening kit for communities to host during Reconciliation Week and National Sorry Day.

Newcomers to Australia offer our country many things, all coming together to give us a more culturally diverse footprint. Refugee Week celebrates the contribution of some of Australia’s newest residents, many of whom have travelled through hardship to find their new home in our country. Celebrate in your community with a Film Outreach screening kit.

PLEASE NOTE NAIDOC WEEK HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL 8TH-15TH OF NOVEMBER 2020

NAIDOC Week provides local communities all over the country with the opportunity to celebrate the rich and vibrant cultural history of Australia’s First Nations people.  With the emergence of a new, vibrant generation of Indigenous voices working in film, share the stories our country needs to hear with Film Outreach.

National Science Week provides an opportunity to be inspired, for the curious to connect, and to breathe new ideas into our regional communities with accessible, simple film screening programs.

This screening kit is available throughout the year for events such as Earth Day, to customise the way your community celebrates.

Throughout the year there are opportunities to celebrate the contribution of people of all abilities within our communities. In QLD, Disability Action Week is hosted in September, and all around Australia International Day of People with Disability is hosted in December. Help celebrate diversity in your community with an inclusive film screening event.

Film breathes new ideas into communities. Film Outreach is now offering a new screening kit for Mental Health Month to open up the conversation around mental health in Australia, to show the common ground between creativity and mental health- and to break down the stigma so more people can feel comfortable seeking help.
